Sandy is amazing. My 1-year-old Belgian Malinois was having some SERIOUS tummy issues. FOUR MONTHS of doctor visits, ER admissions, multiple overnights hooked to IV’s, and even ultrasounds for an internal medicine specialist in Vegas. Nobody could give an answer as to why my pup had extremely bloody diarrhea for so long. Sandy looked over all his lab results and medical history, looked over his allergy report, did a different type of allergy test than the one we already had done and came up with a plan to get Zeke back to normal. A few supplements and changing his diet from a very good and very expensive brand of kibble, to a raw diet and Zeke was back to normal WITHIN DAYS! It’s been over a month now and we haven’t seen the runs or blood at all. Sandy may have literally saved this sweet boy when multiple Veterinarians had no answers.

Sandy has already made an incredible impact right here at home. She’s worked closely with the Prescott Police Department K-9 Unit, helping police dogs Cooper, Benny & Bob with nutrition plans tailored to their demanding jobs. One standout success was Benny, who was dealing with weight issues that were beginning to affect his working capabilities. Through Sandy’s guidance and smart nutritional adjustments, Benny achieved a healthier weight and was able to perform at the level required of a working K-9.

I am writing to recommend Sandy Haffner to whom I have personally known for 4 years as my consultant for my working K9’s Health and Nutrition and as a friend. I have always been impressed with her professionalism, dedication and knowledge regarding pet’s health. Sandy has been a dedicated member of the community and has shown herself to be an important asset to pet owners who are concerned about their pet’s health and nutrition. Sandy has always been dedicated to serving our community, especially through her work with Law Enforcement and Search and Rescue K9’s and their Handlers. I am a Search and Rescue K9 handler with the Yavapai County Search and Rescue. My K9 partner was suffering from pour nutrition causing him to chew on his legs to the point of have raw skin. I went to my vet and they just gave me some cream. I was referred to Sandy who owns and operates Preskitt’s Pawz n Clawz in Prescott. I was told that Sandy would be able to resolve my K9 partners health issue. I met with Sandy and she dropped what she was doing and immediately helped me with my K9 partner “Scout’s” problem. I could see that Sandy was very knowledgeable about pets and working K9’s health and nutrition. I thought I was feeding my K9 the best kibble, but being educated by Sandy, I was hurting my K9 partner. Sandy put Scout on a raw food diet and within a week Scout stopped chewing on himself and I could see a total change in his drive and concentration on his work. This was not the only time Sandy has helped my K9 partner. My partner became very ill after drinking red algae. He also was having problems with his joints and she suggested some natural solutions which after using worked. My partner Scout has been back to 100% working abilities. I owe this all to Sandy. There are other members of my Search and Rescue Team with K9’s whom she has helped. She is a great spokesperson for pet’s health. She motivates pet owners through her knowledge, enthusiasm and willingness to help keep pet’s and working animals healthy.
